Which Spider-Man is the Most Amazing?
(Spoiler Warning)
Who is Spider-Man?
The Amazing Spider-Man, also known as Peter Parker, is probably the most popular superhero next to Batman. After he was bitten by a radioactive spider, he gained powers that gave him super
strength, climbing abilities, the ability to shoot webs out of his wrist so he can capture his enemies, and, of course, the ability to swing through New York City using his webs. There are multiple Spider-Man movie sagas, and multiple different versions of him that take place in their own universes or Spider-Verse. They each have their own villains, unique abilities, along with their basic web ones, and new characters that develop the plot. I will be talking about the big 3 Spider-Man trilogies. The original: Tobey Maguire Spider-Man, the Andrew Garfield ones, and the new movies in the Marvel Universe with Tom Holland. At the end of the article, I will say which movie is the best in my opinion. Here are trailers for each of the movies.
Style
To begin with, all the movies have their own style for the respective year they were made. The first 3 Tobey Maguire Spider-Man films have a darker and less comedic feel, which sets them apart from the rest. They feel more grungy through Peter’s sad backstory and the villains. The movies definitely feel more like a war movie rather than a superhero movie, which I think is super interesting and fun to watch. Next, the Andrew Garfield Spider-man’s have a very similar feel but have a slightly more comedic approach, but also, in my opinion, are way sadder through the loss of the essential character, Gwen Stacey. It also adds a new set of villains, which are way creepier. Last, the Tom Holland Spiderman’s are alright. Instead of developing a sad backstory where you want to feel bad for Spider-Man and root for him, he’s depicted as some normal high school kid. The movie is way funnier than the last, which takes away from the Spider-Man feel and tries to make it a comedy. He is also part of the Avengers, which takes away from his vigilante aspect that the other Spider-Men have.
Villains
All the Spider-Man movies have their own sets of villains unique to their storyline. Each villain has their own cool backstory, so the watcher feels bad for them, and they aren’t depicted as some
random bad guy. However, some of the movies do it better than others. The Tobey Maguire Spider-Man films include villains like Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, and Venom. All the villains are super unique and all play a huge role in the Spider-Man story. Next, the Andrew Garfield Spider-man’s have fewer villains, but they are more impactful to the story, all having something to do with the multi-billion dollar science corporation known as Oscorp. First, we have Dr. Curtis Connor, better known as the lizard, a science experiment gone wrong. Next is Electro or Maxwell Dillon. He can manipulate electricity and gained his powers accidentally when he fell into a vat of electric eels. He is portrayed as constantly confused but powerful. Harry Osbourne, who later becomes Green Goblin, is probably the most important villain in the movies. His tragic backstory, combined with his being best friends with Peter Parker, makes him the perfect villain. He’s the last Villain that Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man fights and deserves that spot. A villain named Rhino makes a small cameo, but really isn’t that cool. Last but not least, we have the villains in the Tom Holland Spider-Man. Vulture, a villain obsessed with protecting his
daughter, can fly with a mechanical wing suit. Mysterio, a man who can manipulate reality and create illusions, and new adaptations of the villains from the previous Spider-Man movies, these villains are part of the Spider-Verse. they are alright, but feel kind of goofy and not like the ones from the past Spider-man’s.
Powers
Each Spider-Man has their own powers, which are somewhat similar but have a few differences. For example, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man has super strength, agility, the ability to stick to walls, and the ability to naturally shoot webs from his wrists. Both the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man and Tom Holland Spider-Man have similar traits, but can’t naturally create webs from their wrists; instead, they had to make their own web shooters and web serums.

Conclusion
Based on the above evidence, including the style of the movies, villains, and powers for each of the Spider-Men, each one has its own strength. There can’t be one top winner because all of them are good and entertaining. However, I think that the Toby Maguire Spider-Man has the coolest powers. The Andrew Garfield Spidermans have the best villains. The Tom Holland Spider-Man is just ok. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are definitely tied, and there can’t be a clear winner until more movies are made, which I doubt would happen.
