Anxiety and Stress
March 24, 2020
Anxiety and Stress are normal for teenagers in this day and age between the tests and AP exams but recently with the events going on stress is even higher. As I am a Sophomore at Chatfield Senior High School I understand the stress of daily school life but school recently has been different with online schooling, the idea of figuring out an 8 hour school day with less than a day or two to plan, plus the week before Spring Break. Stress is a normal part of daily life. Being too stressed out, however, is where immature decisions are made.
From my experience of dealing with anxiety and stress it isn’t an exciting adventure, however, there are many helpful tips and tricks to deal with them. On the CDC site they have posted helpful ways to deal with these stressful times. Many people deal with anxiety and stress in different ways so realize that you are not alone. Some helpful tips and tricks include:
- Take a break from technology and news stories
- Take care of your body
- Do a spa day, take a long shower
- Eat healthier
- Limit sugar, caffeine, and alcohol
- Make a break in your day to relax
- Call friends and family
- Do a group facetime! Party with your friends!
- Exercise!
- Take a walk or a run
- Sleep. It really does help.
