Why You Should Join Chatfield DECA And What They Do.
This week, one of our Chatfield club of the Week is DECA! DECA are very fun and interesting clubs that allow you to travel all around Colorado and the nation to compete against other people in a variety of different business categories to see which team or person is the best at each one. DECA not only look good on your college resume, but also help you a ton if you want to get into the business industry and allows you to learn about businesses and all the operations’ it also helps you meet one of the coolest teachers around the school, Mrs.Greenholz who not only do DECA which is an extracurricular activity to help students love business and take that love into competitions, but they also teach all the other business classes like intro to business, accounting, management and more. Most of the classes are concurrent enrollment and earn students college credit They attend competitions not only near Chatfield, but also all around Colorado. Students who have competed before said how much they really enjoyed it, learned and grew from it, and would keep participating in it
Why You Should Chatfield FBLA And What They do.
The other Chatfield club of the week is FBLA! FBLA is run by the other coolest teacher in the school, Mrs.Chavez. FBLA also travels and competes around Colorado for business purpose and is a great experience that I think if you have time you should because of the places you see but also because of the people you meet. FBLA also looks awesome on your college transcript and is awesome for not only high-school, but also awesome for getting into the college you want as well. Mrs.Chavez who runs FBLA is also a business teacher her at Chatfield that teaches a lt of classes like intro to business, accounting and a lot of the other business classes as well. All the business classes are concurrent enrollment so you get college credit which goes toward college and helps you end early and get the degree and dream job or work career that you want. I feel like if you have any extra time outside of school to do something, FBLA or DECA is one of the best and more entertaining things you can do even if you are not into business because it helps you learn the ropes of it too.
When And Where Are DECA and FBLA Held?
They are both held at Chatfield after school hours in room D105. This club is for all students who want to explore more about business and learn more about what they can do to create a business or work for one. DECA and FBLA look for students who want to learn more about business or go into business later in life, but are also people who can talk very well in front of other people and are very good at presenting their ideas. DECA is for people varying every level of learning about business, from beginners to pros who have been in DECA or FBLA for three years. If you also want to do DECA or FBLA, it not only looks good on your college transcript to help you get into the college you want, but also gives you a royal blue and white cord at graduation to show off to everyone and have on your cap. You can also double-check when DECA and FBLA does think like competitions and meetings and where they are (@Chatfield_deca_fbla).
Additional Information?
Including the competition, there are many other funs things you can do with DECA and FBLA like the business of baseball which is a 40 dollar fee to go to but is so fun and you meet tons of great people and see a lot of cool new things. If you want to join, I would reach out to Mrs.Chavez or Mrs.Greenholz in person or on an Email, their remind text join is @chsdeca 81010 and the Google Classroom code is p6zkipp. DECA and FBLA is not only a fun club with great teachers but also is one of the best things a kid can do outside of school that not only looks good on a college resume but also helps the kid learn and meet new people. SO if you want to join DECA or FBLA, just reach out to one of the teachers and if you don’t, I hope you at least learned something new about DECA/FBLA or clubs at Chatfield!
