Chargers, it’s almost Winter break, the best break of the year! The holiday season is a perfect time to spend some quality time with your family and extended family. It also gives the chance to enjoy holiday traditions indoors as well as outdoors. Here are a few activities I would suggest for your family to come together and have a great 2 weeks together away from school.

https://tickets.botanicgardens.org/events/ - The Gaylord Rockies Hotel Ice Sculptures, Location: 6700 N Gaylord Rockies Blvd, Aurora, CO 80019… The Ice sculptures of the Rockies are a great place to spend a few days with your family. A big contest is held with professional ice sculptures that shave ice into cool designs. The Gaylord also offers pools and slides to have fun! Below are details of costs. Prices vary depending on date and time. Prices range from $20 to $40 per person.
- Take a trip to the mountains (Frisco, Breckenridge, Steamboat) to go snowshoeing, skiing, or even snow tubing. Breckenridge holds an annual ice sculpture contest as well over Christmas Eve to New Year’s. Breckenridge also has a snow tubing hill at the top of Peak 8 on their ski hill. Skiing is also a great way to have fun. Day passes for skiing are a little pricey, averaging from $100-200 dollars but you can get a discount from a friend with an Epic Pass! Steamboat is a very beautiful place to travel in the winter! They have options like the hot springs, skiing, and dog sledding to enjoy the outdoors. - A Winter Musical/play is a great option if you love musicals… Some of the best in Denver consist of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and The Nutcracker play.
